This is another painting I did from pictures I took in Woodinville, WA at a bearded iris farm.  It is acres of glorious color and the scent takes your breath away! I always take hundreds of pictures, and then choose just a few to paint from. I like to paint the flower in a natural setting, with all the imperfections - including flowers that have bloomed and then have wilted.  This give an accurate representation of the flower in the field. Hope you agree with me. Since iris are only with us a few months a year, I like to paint them so that you can enjoy them all year long!

The original painting was 30" x 24" and can be ordered in giclee form (print on canvas) in smaller and larger sizes.
